  1. im mike n dont know what im talking about.shortly after i got my 47 lz it was only running on 6 cylinders,so i payed some one (who seen me coming)to fix it .rebuilt starter,clean ground n terminals ect ect 400 + dollars but what i was going to say is ...our V12 is two 6 cylinder engines so why cant you use two napa 6 cyl condensers in our V12 ?
  2. you'r right ! just use a pry bar and lift. i was putting on a new belt and thinking that the nut holding the generator had to be tight and i striped out the aluminum intake.S--- ! now i need a hel-le coil.n tool to fix that error.
  3. hi this is mike with a 47 lz club coupe ...in chassis parts book 1936-1948 - page 140 - item 8205. i took out two each 7/16 nut n bolt . it swivels for n aft but will not come off. what am i failing to do ? i'm trying to take the radiator out to get flushed n checked. i'm trying to take off the large pan under the radiator to accomplish this.(may be) i'm probably taking to much off that i don't need to, but the radiator WILL come out ! do i also need to take off the fan ? (should i get a torch and learn how to disassemble ????) your help will make me happy so i wont half to go out n get a torch ha ha
  4. my name is mike .iv bought a copy of the twotz index, but its no good unless iv got the magazines,iv bought some from the chapter,but its to costly to buy them all.im asking you's if you know some one who has passed or wants to sell a bulk past copy they no longer want or need to please let me know!! im struggling to put my 47 lz together and on the road.iv had a lot of help from the club and asking for more.if you can help, again i thank yous.

ON THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH with the pull switch facing you 3 connections on left 2 on right from pull switch back...left side first one is H second one B third one P on right it's Bup front and R in the back......H is for fog light sw........B is hot 15 amps...........P is ignition switch light an parking lights,,,,,,,B is hot 30 amps .........R would be for tail lts / rheostat sw / accy tap according to my diagram ? if that helps any.

  9. well i would like for Xmas 47 zephyr steering wheel--driver side speer (end chrome piece,go's from hood to trunk,) 2 back ash trays -- 8 metal pieces that hold the hub caps on -- a 15 in rim with tabs . thanks santa
  10. so i'm still rewiring my 47 and it runs , but never had it on the road , i haven't changed the water pumps,nor the oil pump,nor got a valve job. i'm painting the dash n window frames now.iv got 5-30 oil in it now to help clean it out.it smooks when i start it but im thinking i should change oil/filter use 10-30 detergent oil n see what it dose befor doing the above changes......sound right to you experanced guy's ?
  11. well i can use a nice steering wheel -- the drivers side speer (chrome part from front of hood to trunk) last part -- center of front bumper -- the 2 rails on the rear bumper guard -- the part that holds the front windshield frame inside the car -- tail lights and side flairs that connect to them -- radiator cap -- rear cigarette ash trays -- out side mirrors -- and that just about covers it for my Xmas list.i thank you for your parts and prices ,,,mike
  12. i have a 47 lincoln club coupe .i need the chrome part ,i think its called a speer ? drivers side,back between the trunk and tail light.a couple nuts n bolts hold it on the car.
  13. im mike n iv got a 47 lincoln club coupe zephyr. i broke the distributor cap as i thought it would just pull off.oops forgot to look at the picture.the ring needed to come off first.now im trying to take off the distributor plate.iv lightly tried to push it out with a rag n screw driver , it seems stuck.nothing in the picture keeping it in.didn't see any clips or rings.should i push harder or did i over look something?you'r wisdom is needed . thank you's.
  14. im mike with a 47 lcc v12. iv broke the distributor cap because i did't know about the retainer ring.now i want to take off the terminal plate to recover that retainer ring,iv got a new distributer cap.so is there any thing holding the terminal plate on ?it seems stuck on .iv lightly tried a screw driver to push it out but im not wanting to break it to .what is my next move ?thank you for your wisdom.
  15. on a 47 lz do i need to have my shocks on it to get it aligned ? with shocks off car do i fill them with hyd oil with them extended ? or retracted ? how do you tell if a shock is good/bad ? thanks guys for your help.

  17. some one did n i think they said something about contacting the manufacture to get it fixed as the holes were not big enough or did not lighn up?????
  18. i tried to look this up in the files but they dident have a file ? how do you tell if the shocks need rebuilding ?and how do you fill them? with them extended or compressed ?thanks in advance,mike
  19. first should the shocks be on a 47 lz befor you get a alignment ? im thinking yes but id like a second on that.

  24. dont know how maney are left but iv got one im trying to rewire and get driveable now that im retired.
  25. where dose it go behind the speed-o ? hi is on top Lh=g/b rh=bl/y there is 2 black towards bottom N 1 black towards top. i think its yellow/black for the ignition sw.where did i go wrong,an swap wires ?
