Yes it's auto-lite alright, no question there, that # is cast right into it. However no Chrysler part number on it that I could use to get a positive I.D. I have a 55-58 MoPar master parts list with the vendor cross reference but that # just ain't there. GGW-88 shows up but no 89 Just going by the hand written note that's taped to it. Dave S.

NOS Part #GGW-89 commutator generator head/brush holder. tag say's it's for 55-56 cars with power steering pump driven by the generator, I presume, like the 55-56 MoPars were. However, that # does not show up in the 55-56 Chrhsler parts manual vendor cross reference and there are no other numbers on the part other than the GGW# So I'm thinking maybe a GM product from the same era. Any ideas out there. Thanks! Dave S.

Need Info on 57, 58 and 59 A/C Blower & Motors

Your other housing may be for a rear mounted unit and not for the firewall. Looking at the parts book, it appears that all the A/C firewall housings had the hose and some were insulated as well with 3 mounting holes. Any numbers on the motor you can provide?? Dave S. -
Upon further investigation, it sure looks like it. I didn't look close enough the 1st time, just ran the pt # is all. Bent trumpet.....I hate it when that happens!! Kinda looks like mystery solved, huh? Never too old to learn!! Dave S.

That is indeed a 57-58 set-up. The tube is correct. I have a 57 and 2 58's. Each with A/C. The motor probably needs rebuilt. It's probably a 3 speed unit. I had all my motors (window-heater-A/C) rebuilt by a shop in Cedar Rapids, IA Dave S. -
Wouldn't be the 1st time they have been wrong!! I have found mistakes before. All I can do is relay what info that's printed. There is reference to horns w/the 90 degree bend on that page for Plymouth. I agree, that's a nice piece. I hope it can find a needy home. Dave S.

Rubber Rejuvination/Restoration
finsruskw replied to cpwalter's topic in Chrysler Products - General
I recall reading somewhere that a good soaking in the hand cleaner Go-Jo will soften up hard rubber. It was reccomended to liberally soak w/s weatherstrips in the stuff to soften tham prior to re-installation. Dave S. -
Any one have a chance to do a little research on this? Sure would appreciate if some one with miller tool books could take a look. I have several dozen drivers, pullers, sleeves etc to try and I.D. Masybe someone could put 'em to good use If I could figure out just what they are for. Thanks! Dave S.
