  1. Thanks for the information. I will give that a try and report back as it warms up.
  2. I like many of the above posts. Reclaiming damaged or rotting wood with one of the epoxies is great. An important point mentioned at the beginning of this thread is that some joints should not be glued with Epoxy as they do not allow for enough flex in the body. I think that is an important point to consider when assembling you wood frame. I have used an epoxy sawdust mixture to fill in or reshape specific pieces and that seems to work as well. I have been working on a 1919 Mcalughlin which had very little wood left in it when I started so there was a fair bit of guess work that went on
  3. I have a rad shell with the badge still attached to the front. The shell is very rusted and I want to take off the badge without ruining it, restore the shell and then reassemble it after. It is a 1923 Mcalughlin rad shell. the badge is somehow fastened to a circle piece on the rad shell. My thought is to get a piece of pipe and tap on the circle to pop the badge off the other side... I assume I would need to glue it back in to reassemble. Does anybody have experience with such things?

  17. I have a rim wind car clock from from the late teens it likely needs a cleaning and other general repair but the thing that concerns me are the threads where the winding rim attaches to the clock the threads are worn and the rim threads jump channels when you try to wind it... is that something that can be fixed?
  18. I have 4 tires with tubes for sale. they are NOS and were made in Canada by General Tire. they have been stored well and the rubber in not aged at all. the tubes are in sealed original boxes that have not been damaged.. This should avoid the challenges folks have had with some of the new production from India The tires are $100 US funds per tire and tube plus freight. They are an unusual size if anybody knows what they fit please post that information here. as per the pictures the tire size is 4.75*20 and or 5.00*20 I have pics of the sealed Tube boxes but i was at my size limit... they are Atlas brand and made in Canada
