  2. i found my wheels on craigslist.
  3. i used a 40 series flowmaster on my 89.it was one that pepboys stocked and had a 2.25"inlet and one outlet.its not loud at idle or loud enough at wide open trottle but has an annoying drone around 35 mph.
  4. i just clipped the output wires from the tape player and hooked up my satelite to them.sounds good to me.
  5. id say the only thing in common is only two seats.
  6. make sure the sunroof works.id say it should be worth between 2000 and 3000 dollars.the reattas never caught on as collecter cars.
  7. use the search, daniel is running a head unit from a cadillac that has preouts for amps[or something like that] the radio he has is compatable with the on screen controls.
  8. perhaps the most unusual seat mate I encountered was eternal Lifetime Network movie actress Johanna Kearns. when she sat down, I didn't even know who she was, as I wasn't a big fan of the "wronged woman" movies that are the staple of the Lifetime Network. i believe she was also the mom on 'growing pains'.
  9. the mazda sheetmetal will fit the hole but it sticks up 3/8" in the middle.i have pics if you want.
  10. . The new Camaro is a Corvette wannabe and I am not convinced that GM, in their current economic and political correctness conditions is building quality products. The new Mustang premium GT due out in June is looking like a good choice. I do not wish to own a Fiat so Chrysler is out as well. Looking for a RWD, high performance, 2 door automobile made by a dependable manufacturer is getting harder every year. I was a Buick guy growing up. I have owned many GM products over my lifetime but it looks like Ford is going to get the rest of my business. something about the current camaro really turns me off.i think its uuuuugly.
  11. ive had great luck with 'pb blaster'to loosen rusty bolts.give it time to work.
  12. i would have liked the solstice to have a small base engine that got around 40 mpg.i looked at them and was disappointed with the gas mileage.it still amases me that an eighities crx or rabbit diesel got over 40 mph and the car manufacturers still can't build a car twenty years later that gets better.
  13. aren't most of the parts in a new ford made in mexico?
  14. both were interesting videos.i don't understand how two blurry videos could take so long to download on my broadband connection though.
  15. we have located (and are in discussions with ) the company that supplied the 1990 Reatta headlight switch assemblies to NAPA. they are no longer available, but the company is considering another run, since no one else offers them. GM discontinued them about eight months ago, with the final list price on the last GM switches being in the $800 range. we are trying to arrange for an initial run of 500 switches. this will defininitely be the best way to go when you switch fails. over and out. Mike Rukavina buickreattaparts.com what about 1989 switches?
  16. not a bad price if it comes with a warrenty
  17. that was the website for the compressed air cars.i guess that the oil companies bought them too.
  18. Parallels H-Sphere Account has been suspended
  19. And, GM actually is starting doing this. The Chevy Volt is a serial hybrid. The only difference between what I want and what they are doing, is they stuffed in a hugely expensive battery pack so that the car would be able to run 40 miles on electricity only. If they ditched the battery pack they could knock 10 grand or more off the price, and they'd sell like hotcakes. When in generator mode the Volt is supposed to get 50MPG. Now if they dropped the heavy battery pack, and changed to a diesel ICE, I imagine they'd be able to get into triple digits. id prefer gm replace the engine with more batteries and get the battery range to at least 100 miles.i have a car for long trips.i want a daily driver thats electric[or runs on compressed air].
  20. as you said you can't fill it up at home without the 3000 dollar compresser and you can't fill it up on the road except at a few places.to retro fit it the engine would need to be rebuilt to 12 to 1 compression.i think the next big thing will be the cars that run on compressed air.don't laugh.they are real.google them.
  21. i used aircraft remover to remove the clear coat.it mostly peeled off in sheets.they make 'zoops seal'to seal aluminum wheels but i never tried it.i just polished them with mothers polish.i didn't look like steves wheel because his has had the grooves in the wheel smoothed.
