MJC-JR
These were labeled "Antique Car Parts" when I bought them. Any ideas what they actually are? About 18 inches long with remnants of red paint. Ornate "tail" at one end and semi-circle shape at the other end with fixed screws that stick out slightly. Two mounting holes, but it beats me which way is up and how these were used. Any help appreciated.
keiser31
I would guess that they are some sort of very early spare tire brackets by the stirrup style cradles.
Dave Mellor NJ
If they were vertical on a wall you could possibly hang a fire extinguisher or a tank of some sort.
54vicky
Possibly parts of fireplace andirons?
Mark Wetherbee
I think that you have a pair of lantern brackets missing the springs that held the bottom tank in. Most likely American LaFrance
