Pete Phillips
A BCA member in Longview, Texas contacted me last week about selling his 1952 Special, model 41-D. The car has 19,777 miles from new. Interior, paint, chrome, etc. are all original and in breath-taking condition. The car runs and sounds like a new '52 Buick straight eight. Car is originally from the Chicago area but has no rust whatsoever, due to long storage. It runs, drives, and is currently licensed and garaged in Longview (far eastern Texas). I have many photos if anyone is seriously interested. Owner wants $15,000 for it. Car has new tires, belts, battery, hoses, and a new gas tank. All else is original and unrestored. There is some cracking in the original paint if you get close enough to detect it. I can provide owner's contact information for those seriously interested. trimacar
From a restoration standpoint, what a bargain. Yes, I know, two too many doors, but that's a car that could be a ton of fun for a LOT less than a ton of money. Surely that car will find a good home.....sheesh, that front bumper chrome would set you back a good percentage of the asking price...
motoringicons
That is certainly a stately looking Buick. A great old car and worth every penny of the asking price. MrEarl
Amazing car indeed, Pete. Look at that trunk! Can you share a picture of the engine bay.
Pete Phillips
Engine bay is not as nice as rest of car, due to a previous owner having steam-cleaned it and therefore rubbed off much of the original paint and decals. I agree, it's very much worth the asking price. Interesting story about it, too, which will be in the Feb. issue of the Buick Bugle. Pete
Pete Phillips
FYI, the car sold this weekend. Someone got a mint-condition 1952 Buick for less than the cost of a nearly new Buick.

Too bad Buick did not use as good turquoise top coat as they did the black under coat. Ben
