Bleach
It's an estate model. Plenty can be found on a google image search.
Guest Casper Friedrich
Never seen one before. Kind of a budget version of the Reliant Scimitar GTE. Cool design!

Dave@Moon
I saw the estate on google. To me its a van rather than an estate [station wagon to USA folks]British Leyland referred to it as an "Estate".BTW, this version is properly referred to as an Austin Allegro 2 (obviously the second iteration of the car), made between Oct. 1975 and late 1979. Manuel
In the UK they are Estates and in the USA they are called Wagons or Station Wagons. [i believe]Manuel in Oz
TG57Roadmaster
It's an Austin Allegro Super Estate Car, according to the 1978 World Cars, the annual compendium published by the Automobile Club of Italy. That year they came in two ranges, the 1300 and 1500, but the pics aren't clear enough to tell which version it is. Apparently the base Allegro 1100 De Luxe didn't offer the Estate Car variant, and there isn't enough info to verify the year of the pictured Estate Car.TG
Guest Phil Cordery
The last letter "S" denotes the year, 1978 If memory serves. Front wheel drive, Tranverse engine & box/
Vintman
Hi,Austin Allegro was manufactured by British Leyland. Registration suffix S was 01 August 1977 to 31 July 1978. Initial letters (last two, BY denote it was registered by Crodon County Borough Council, later Greater London County Council). Indeed two ranges 1100/1300 and 1500/1750 made between 1973 and 1983. 478,000 manufactured in that period. All Estates were two door. Better definition of the rear photo would reveal exact model. Not overly loved by the public.RegardsVintman (UK)
leyther8008
Universely recognised as one of the worst cars ever built by enthusiasts over here in England, early ones had a quartic (squareish) steering wheel but they do have a hard core group of followers who drive them the ultimate one is a VDP (Van den plas) mini limousine.Austin Allegro | AROnline
