fred e
Does anyone know where I can get the torque specs on rod caps, mains and heads for a 1930 six cyl motor? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Manuel
I think torque specs only came into use after WW2.Manuel in Oz
wbower3
Re: Torque specs o a 36 Mopar. If you can find an old MOTORS MANUEL in your local library, it may give you the info you want. Otherwise, the rods in my 38 are 40-45lbs, the mains were 50-60lbs, and the head bolts were 80-85 lbs.
Paul Bohlig
Type in "Torque values" on internet search. Most of the old bolts would be mild steel. So probably use the low side torque for the bolt size listed.Paul
nearchoclatetown
I do not have the torque specs for '30, but these bolts were never mild steel.
