Spark Plugs for a 1932?

Assuming your car still has the original cylinder head (31 and earlier used either 18mm or 7/8 thread size), Autolite recommends a 308, I've used these for years in nearly all the Packard Eights with 14mm plugs. If you're using the original high tension wires ending in the eyelets and fastened with knurled thumbnuts, use a 303 which I believe still comes with a threaded top post, the knurled thumbscrews are readily available.

According to my old sparkplug chart AC K series sparkplug is a 14mm by 3/8? reach and is in the middle of the sparkplug heat range. K14 being at the hottest part of the range and K-5 being at the coolest part of the heat range the others being K-5, K-7, K-9, K-10, K-11, K-12 and K-14. These sparkplugs were used in many GM and others engines until the change was made by AC to the newer and still used AC 4 series which merely means that it is a 14mm and no ?R? means no resistor. A #5 after the number ?4? means it is the #5 heat range. AC 414 means it is a 14 mm by # 14 heat range.

This is timely. Last night I decided to remove the spark plug wire holder and repaint it. Doing some research, I found that I had incorrect clip on wires. I'm running AC 45s in my car with the clip on wires. This morning I ordered AC's with the correct threaded top and knurled knobs from Bruce Blevins 810-744-1820 (Michigan). I bought a set of plug wires with the correct eyelet on the end from Cole Ignition 585-342-9613(New York). Amazing what a simple project can morph into <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I actually have a NOS set of the original AC K7s that were spec in the car. I haven't decided to put them into the car yet.

What is a "Turbo head"?

The sheet that I have packed away in the event that I move (???) is not quickly available at this time and I don't believe that it had any expanation about this item. My guess would be that it was a cylinder head with squish and quench configuration as this was being used at this time. However this is a guess!!!

I received the spark plug wires from Cole Ignition. Look good with what I assume is the correct ends and wire finish...shiny black.
