D Binger
The folks in the West have done it again. The Poudre Valley Region of AACA in Ft. Collins and Loveland, Colorado passed the hat at their Christmas party. They are donating $300.00 to the AACA Library Roof Fund. This makes $600.00 that two small AACA regions in Colorado and Wyoming that are over 1,800 miles from Hershey have donated to the roof fund. I would like to encourage other regions out there to pass the hat at their Christmas parties and meetings for the library roof fund.Dan
Steve Moskowitz
Thanks Dan, you folks are great! We cannot wait until spring on the roof and will be giving out the contract later this week. Everyday we find shingles on he ground!!
1937hd45
I trust the contractor will be stripping all the old roof, and installing new felt, ice guard, and three tab shingles. Do you have copper valleys?
Steve Moskowitz
All of the above but not sure about the copper valleys...the roof was a 20 year old roof that lastest 19 1/2!!!
1937hd45
Be sure to check to see if everything is vented properly. Many roofs fail because they cook the shingles from the inside out. Hopefully the plywood is ok and hasn't started to delaminate.
R W Burgess
Good job, Dan. I wish I could say the same for my region. The National has been a big help to my region, but I can't seem to get them interested in reciprocating in kind. I guess I need to deliver a fire and brimstone newsletter message to the region, but don't want to alienate them. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Congradulations to your people.
