Guest imported_DaveZZZ
I miss it by two years.Through my 20s I drove Grand Marquis (new ones, not old beaters) because I believe in V8 up front, drive wheels in rear, just like God and Henry Ford intended. This made me a bit of an oddball amongst the 20-something set, and one day I was contacted by a writer for Business Week who was doing an article on Ford leading the return to RWD. Somehow this guy learned about me, and wanted some quotes for the article from a younger guy who drove "old man" cars.
Guest 31tudor
Dang it, I just turned 33 on Sunday! Well, if they're interested in me I have a '31 Model A, a '62 Buick Invicta, a '60 Chevy Bel-Air, and I'm working on buying a '34 Chevy Fordor. They're welcome to contact me if I'm not an old fart in their book! ehibbs@nuteltech.com
Guest imported_PackardV8
i always got the impression that Pierce66 is in her late 20's or early 30's. Maybe she could shed more lite on this idea for us. From a ladies perspective that is.
Guest imported_PackardV8
But seriuosly DaveZZZ, being that close to 20-something still don't u get an occasional sudden urge to drive a Nip with one of those megaphones on the exhaust pipe that sounds like a mean bummble-bee????? Overland85_4
I'm 28 and just bought a 1917 Overland last summer. It's not drivable, but I am currently looking for parts. I told my girl that we aren't getting married till it's finished She may get it done for me... I've also got a few old tractors that I'm working on and an '84 Ford diesel pickup that's near complete...Can't ever have to many things to get your hands greasy! Guest imported_DaveZZZ
Few sounds in this world are as pleasing as a big block at a nice low idle, especially through dual exhausts (sorta gives a stereo effect).
Stanley735
My son will be 27 and drives a 1970 Chrysler 300 and has a 59 Edsel (driven when the Chrysler is broken) and a 60 Desoto. It is hard to contact him because he will not get a telephone and obviously no internet service.Jim Showers1921 Stanley 735B1953 Packard Series 2672

jgmets
I'm too old for this being 34 but I've been collecting cars since I was 19. Started with my Nash Metro and I now have a Lincoln Mark III a Hearse and a Chrysler Town & Country SW with the Met. The kicker is I can't drive a car because of a seizure disorder. JoeyCrash2
From the email I received back from Dave Strohl at Hemmings when I inquired, they are actually looking for anyone under 35 who is looking to keep their cars as classics and not turn them into hot rods. However, since that day (nearly two weeks), I haven't heard back from him. Not sure if they're still looking. I'll email again and keep the forum up to date. Guest imported_jmarsicano
I emailed Dan, he is a very nice guy. Since I am 28 I still qualify! However, he cant use my car since we cant run it on the road. O well. It looks like a great project he is working on and I really hope that it brings new, younger blood to the hobby.
