You know Bill, we sure take a lot for granted. As we wash and wax our cars year round to keep that perfect shine, your picture reminds me, that we forget that in the early days those guys were just glad if the thing started. Of course washing a car to travel over dirt roads was also a complete waste of time. Kind of makes you wonder what our forebearers would think if they were transported to a present day Hershey show field. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> They'd think we were nuts, I'll bet. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Wayne

For a real treat, watch Ken Burn's documentary "Horatio's Drive".

It's a neat look at Horatio Nelson Jackson's pioneer auto trip across the U.S. in 1903, in a 2 cylinder Winton.

A buddy loaned me his video copy and I watched it the other night...a great two-hour trip back in time!
