imported_v12lincoln
por 15 sells an engine paint for the V8 ford motor that is almost an exact match for the Lincoln green. you can paint it on with a brush and it will flow out nice and even. you can order it through Vintage Ford in Sacramento or anyone who deals in Por 15 paint. You think that would be as close as it gets? Probably about the same eh? (that's Canadian for huh?) DizzyDale
Dear Dave,I bought the correct green last year from Bill Hirsch was dark green like the early V-8 green.diz
imported_Phil Knapp
I didn't know that POR-15 was offering engine paint in the correct Lincoln color, but if Diz says it's OK, then it is. I've used Bill Hirsch's paint and it's good, although a bit on the pricey side. $31 for a quart is kind of steep! What you need from Bill Hirsch is: http://www.hirschauto.com/acb/basket/purchase.cfm?&DID=
48LCCOUPE
O.K. I see my problem now, I was looking at aeresols which he doesn't list, but in quarts He offers Lincoln Green 1936-48 V-12. I may be slow but I'm slow. Thank You Diz & Phil. DizzyDale
Dear Dave,You put that enamel on a relatively clean surface and you will need a jack-hammer and a stick of dynamite to get it off.I NEVER had any experience with any POR products, good or bad.YOU being a fellow Lincoln owner i know you have both the jack-hammer and Dy-no-mite in the garage.diz
48LCCOUPE
Thanks Diz, I think it was Phil that got confused about you endorsing POR 15, I new that you hadn't. Paint looks fair on engine, just want it to look better than that. My parole officer no longer allows me to play with dynamite but jack hammer is no problem just kidding, parole officer doesn't really care. Thanks for the advice.
