What more can be said about Buicks everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Every time you turned around you saw another Buick that you had missed earlier. Incredible event, incredible planning, incredibly well run! Friends at every corner. I had been excited and looking forward to this event for years and there where NO disapointments(OK, maybe it didn't last long enough, or maybe I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see). I have been going to Nationals for 25 years and as expected nothing compaired to this nor probably will in my lifetime. My salutes to the Michigan Chapter for a job well done. Oh, the Saturday closing ceremony was great also!!! Memories to last a lifetime!! I still havn't come back to earth. For some reason the word PRIDE comes to mind as I was drivng the Electra home.

I concur, Keith!

The number and variety of Buicks AND the fact that every generation of Buick AND current and FUTURE Buick owners was there was great. To call it "Magnificently Awesome" would, to me, be an understatement!

So many beautiful Buicks--so little time (and film)!!!

Thanks again to EVERYONE that had a hand in making that whole production come off as well as it did!!!

Enjoy!

A huge [color:"blue"]THANK YOU to everyone involved! It was a remarkable time that I wish didn't have to end. It was impressive at every level.

There were a number of very small glitches here and there (i.e. I walked around all week with a name tag that said "Nancy" ), but in all I expected a lot more problems than I even heard happened.

This was a class act from top to bottom. trophy.gif I'm as proud of my Central Michigan comrades as I am of my car's marque. Thanks for every memory.

You guys are the best.

THIS WAS A FIRST CLASS EVENT!!! I just arrived home, after driving straight through, 1600 miles of trouble free driving. The Skylark didn't miss a beat. I'm glad I met you Keith and Brian. Dave, I stopped by your 60 LeSabre many times and just couldn't find you. This was a show of all shows. VERY WELL PLANNED! Sooo many beautiful cars.............

By the way, while I'm getting a touchy/feely here I think a seperate congratulations needs to be awarded to Michigan Graphics & Awards. Their commemerative license plate was beyond any expectation I had, inflated as those expectations may have been by the pre-show hype. It says something very special about their work that they sold out of the walnut license plate display plaques because (unexpectedly) too many of us found the plates to be too good to be applied to our cars.

By the way, I was told at the their tent that the plaques be available for mail order around Tuesday.

The rest of their merchandise was top-drawer as well.

======================================

On a personal note I met up with many of my old Pittsburgh friends while there, I'd been missing all. Sorry I missed Skyking, and anyone else who was looking. My son and I spent the event m-o-v-i-n-g! There wasn't anything there he or I wanted to miss.

I'd been looking forward Flint for a long time thinking it would be a once in a life-time event, and IT WAS! In fact, it was much bigger and better than I could have imagined. I'll ad my thanks to all the people who organized this and worked so hard during the event so all of us could enjoy ourselves. I did hear something funny I wanted to pass along too. I was walking from one area to another just a few steps behind and elderly couple when I heard the man say..."this is the best car show I've ever been too---too bad it's all Buicks" Now maybe you had to be there to fully appreciate just how innocently he said those words, because I still laugh everytime I think about it.

Ditto to the other comments. What a fantastic job that the hosting chapter did!

From the minute I arrived in Flint on Saturday morning, I felt like a dog in a butcher shop! My biggest problem was fighting the anxiety attack brought on by the fact that I would simply not be able to see each and every car.

Yup. As far as I know everything stated about the exclusivity of the commerative license plate/plaque we got for attending remains true.

Here's a silly question. If you came to this event and got your plaque, would you leave it uningraved (cost $10) so you could auction it on eBay??? Don't answer if you didn't get or see one yet!

This was my wife's first car show, and I was hoping not her last, she absolutely had a great time on the tours and talking to other wives. She finally saw that I don't have the worst case of Buickitis, their are brothers stricken worse than I. My hat is off to the Buicktown Chapter. You did a spactacular job!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave, to answer your question, NO. It never came to mind. When I opened the styrofoam envelope, I was so impressed with such a great plaque. I will treasure this forever.......like I stated earlier, FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!!! I went to a local cruise tonight and showed some friends this plaque. They all thought it was the best plaque they had ever seen. One guy said "Wow, leave it to Buick to do something that nice"

NO WAY, in fact I had mine engraved just so any temptation in later years would be prevented. I had a great time and had a serious case of sensory input overload. So many beautiful cars. The only thing I would have changed would be to let all Buicks in, not have a year cut off, since it was not a judged show anyway. Otherwise with fantastic weather ( the first national were I didn't sweat off 10 pounds ) and a well laid out location. This is going to be very hard to top, but what a goal to shoot for.
