Guest Geoff Meador
Hi,Visit your local Buick dealer. The power window control switch is still available brand new from GM. The "parts guy" at a nearby dealer should be able to order it for you with no trouble.
Guest kennyw
usually a light file on the mating surfaces will do the trick; IF it is a connection problem. Some times a little filing to get the switch to go [click] click. The parts are very heavy duty. You have to go in there anyhow to replace [with] a new switch. Why not try to fix your old one? The part with the wires just [preys] off of the main housing.......One time I thought the switch did not come apart, it does. I fixed the one I had.............ken <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Jim
I have several Reatta parts cars and have a good working and appearing window switch available for your '88. I can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
87WE2
Not every used part is bad. If that were the case salvage yards, and used part suppliers would out of business. Maybe people just don't want to pay new prices for something used that works fine. On that thought, I guess when something breaks that is no longer available new, then we will all just have to do without. Most people on this board know they get what they pay for. There are no surprises here.
Rawja
The thing with the 88-89 power window switches is that the replacement switch is of a better/upgraded design than the original, and will look better not only initially, but down the road as well.If only the mirror switch was still available as well... <sigh>
