58L-Y8
For Sale: 1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, 58K miles - $7,500 - South Park, PA (Pittsburgh) 1971 cadillac deville for sale by owner - South Park, PA - craigslist Seller's Description: 1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, 58k original miles. Very solid car with mostly original paint, minor rust, nice vinyl top. Interior in very good condition, original Cadillac floor mats. Car runs and drives well. Recent updates include new fuel pump, front brakes, rear brakes and wheel cylinders. Power windows, locks, and seat work properly, a/c belt missing from compressor, new compressor in box included. Heater core was leaking and was bypassed. The paint has patina and is not a show car by any means, but still very presentable. The car would need a paint job to take it to the next level or keep it original and just enjoy it as is. Car is garage kept, was in previous long-term storage, one family owned before me, came from Indiana. Titled in PA as antique, can transfer plate with the car. Serious only please, $7,500.00 Contact: Call Tim (412) 3-ten-3-3-forty Chat available through "Reply" button on listing. Copy and paste in your email: 29f6ccaea8953f61ae76b277da39098a@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1971 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. John_S_in_Penna
Looking closely at the Craig's List pictures, I see this car needs more paint work than I first thought. Too, I hope the "minor rust" is very minor. There is rust under a corner of the vinyl roof. Once those deficiencies are corrected, the car may be very good for someone. I don't know whether there will be much demand at the current $7500. Maybe $4500? Less? This model is available generally, though not all that common. Rivguy
Rust "bumps" under the vinyl top were a common occurrence on '60's and '70's cars. My '70, which was only five years old had a couple. I knew what they were, but stripping the vinyl and repairing them was not an option. Those bumps concern me a lot more than the damaged paint. suchan
Good-looking car, good color. These cars run forever. The gear selector pointing to 1 o'clock needs looking after. Agree the price is optimistic with the rust bumps and all.
