CBT
I found in my grandparents' storage an old pair of what I assume are driving gloves. Can anyone identify or give me a timeframe for these?

Bloo
I wonder if they might be blacksmith's gloves. It will be interesting to see what others say about them.

I would think that a blacksmith would need all of his fingers. These are half glove and half mitten. Zeke

Mark Gregush
Might be motorcycle. Does the other side have a slit for the index finger? If so, could be shooting gloves.
Rod P
Wondering if flying gloves? Of some sort. Pair flying gauntlets : Australian Flying Corps Description Pair of brown soft leather flying gauntlets with sheepskin lining. They are designed as mittens, but leave the thumb and index finger separate. Around the end is a leather strap with three brass press studs for securing the gauntlets around the lower arm. History / Summary This pair of flying gauntlets was issued to the Australian War Memorial by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in 1929, in response to a request for flying clothing of the type used by the Australian Flying Corps (AFC). They may also have been used by the RAAF during the early 1920s.
