EmTee
My son-in-law found this portable light at a garage sale and saw the Buick logo on it, so he picked it up for me. I believe it is a trouble light for roadside repairs (e.g., fixing a flat tire). It appears to be 12V and plugs into the cigarette lighter. My guess is it was an accessory from sometime in the mid-late 1950s, or possibly early '60s. Can anyone out there in Buickland 'shed some light' on its pedigree? Thanks!
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Hand held spotlight me thinks. Dealer accessory, if I remember correctly. Neat find. I never saw one with the "stand" on it though. Or maybe, just maybe, my memory fails? Ben 1 1
Machine Gun
I bought one of those trouble lights in the early 70s from my local auto parts store, sans the Buick logo of course. Almost all of them looked the same, stand and all. Much better than a flashlight at roadside.
60FlatTop
Central New York? That's a deer jacking light. Those car mounted Appletons may look neat but shooting from inside the car is rough on the ears. That one has a nice long cord. 1
