Kidwithariv
I have been doing some work on my 83 riviera convertible’s door panels. During reassembly all of a sudden my passenger side window stopped working completely from the drivers side switch, and from the passenger side controls it will only go down. meteor
I had a terrible time with the passenger switch on my 82. The connector may not be making a good contact with the pins. You can pull the switch up from the armrest. Jolly-John may have a switch. Roger
EmTee
It's probably just a loose or poor connection at the switch(es). As Meteor said, pull the door switches up and inspect the connector sockets and pins. Straighten any bent pins or contacts and clean any corrosion or grime. If everything worked before, then this should get them working again. Kidwithariv
Thank you! I cleaned the connector pins and the window went right back up.
dship
I had an '85 with the same problem, both windows. After cleaning up the connections, I wrapped the switches with a few layers of electric tape along the sides and around where the wire harness connects to the pins.
