Leif in Calif
Looks like a prewar car you could drive and enjoy. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/davis-1941-cadillac-series-63/7717699003.html It is a manual “3 on the tree” with a flathead V8 (that runs amazing!) The mileage right now is 2,719 as the odometer was reset when the car was restored about 10 years back. Very rare model and was only produced for two years. Had a very high end restoration about 10 years ago/ everything was done to a high standard. Is an absolute beauty!! No rust what's so ever Drives very quietly and comfortably. Drives from Sacramento to San Jose no issues. Recently replaced the muffler, battery and the gaskets for the intake/exhaust manifolds, crossover pipe, downpipe and water pump. It also comes with the original antenna (photographed in trunk photo). There the right rear window is cracked. It needs the water pump either rebuilt or replaced and the clutch adjusted. I will have the clutch adjusted prior to selling. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. Price can be discussed in person after seeing the car. email: f0ce5d51dcb53d96bf79f1136c72601c@sale.craigslist.org
f.f.jones
My folks drove a '41 series 61 Cadillac sedan for a number of years after the war. What were the main differences between that and the series 63 other than the extended turtle deck on the 63? ...wheel base? ...engine specs? ...interior trim? I understand, though, the LaSalle and the series 61 Cadillac co-existed before 1941, the series 61 survived when the LaSalle was dropped for "41. Andrew_Latvia
Series 61 and 63 both were based on a new for '41 GM B-body. Wheelbase was the same for both series - 126in. Also no differences in engine and interior. What was offered as Cadillac Series 63, initially was meant to be a '41 LaSalle.
