Soupiov
Found these in a pile of Model T parts but they are clearly not for a Model T. Any ideas?
Mark Wetherbee
The early T’s had a differential that was riveted at the pumpkin as well as to the backing plates. I’m pretty sure these are part of an accessory support truss that went from one backing plate to the other with a sling in the middle to support the pumpkin as the rivets loosened on rough roads. These parts bolted over the rivets at the backing plate to anchor the outer ends. If you put 2 together they should be around 3” ID
wayne sheldon
Cannot be sure without proper size reference, however I am pretty sure Mark W is right! That was my fist thought right off as well.
Soupiov
Absolutely right! Thanks so much! Actually, I am a bit embarrassed because I should have know what they are as I have a similar truss rod set up on my '10 T.
Jack Bennett
Totally grateful for your post, and extremely proud to say I have no idea what these are. It gets really monotonous when I have an answer for everything, and I always look like the smart a** because nobody else will even hazard a guess.
