Motorpirate
My 1927 Buick Speedster project car only has the headlight wiring left of the original harness. The rest must have "left" with the body tub. I rebuilt the original taillight yesterday and mounted it and thats when I noticed it uses the same 1/4 turn connectors as the headlights. Anyone have a source for these, used or new?

Bloo
Maybe. Look here: https://restorationstuff.com/ Also, possibly look in Model T Ford supplier websites. Similar things were used on other cars for sure. Pay attention to the details and you might get lucky.

Motorpirate
So, I think I'm missing some parts of this connector. The plug from ResorationStuff is clocked wrong and the pins are in the wrong location. The headlight connectors I have fit the taillight, and they are clocked correctly. But, none of these connectors touch the contacts at the bottom of the socket. So, am i missing a contact plate and a spring or something? The terminals on the plugs are below the surface and the contacts in the socket are flush. What am I missing?
ramair
Check with YnZ yesterday auto parts in California. I had Gene build me a secondary wire harness for my car, it had pigtail connectors, lamp sockets ,in line fuses and it all matched up, a amazing resorce 1
Mark Shaw
I only have Buicks, so one or two of these should match what you need. Note: the silver socket contacts are spring loaded to stay in contact with the double flat contacts. Please advise if any of these will work for you.
Motorpirate
I was afraid of that, which one of those plugs into this socket?
Mark Shaw
You could make any of the double contact types work by adding a lump of solder to the male side contacts. Put more than enough on the contacts and file them down until you can make it lock into the bayonet mount.
Gary56
I have a 1929 Graham Paige and I'm having problems with the head lights. The right side is brighter then the left. I've tryedto make sure the ground is good and I am getting the correct voltage and everything is clean. Any suggestion? Gary56
Larry Schramm
Check the voltage from the battery negative/ground to the GROUND side of the light connector with the lights on. If it is anything other than zero, you still have a bad ground.
