Dave avon
After checking my steering box on my 40 Special Buick I refilled it with 90wt. Oil. The next day there was a puddle on the floor. I dropped the Pittman arm and removed the seal. It was a felt seal and worn out. I was able to find only one lip seal listed that would fit. It was a #2503. In looking for a seal I found that a lot of the suppliers who were offering seals listed seals with a slightly larger od and id than I required and no one was offering the 2503. After I installed the new seal I refilled the box with the 90 wt. oil. No leaks. I just thought others might need to know this instead of using grease to keep their box from leaking
