jameswulf
Looking for a source for spoke wheel weights for a ‘38 MG Tickford. Or should I simply use lead solder wire?
Bloo
Hah. I don't know. Someone in here will. I have seen those little round spoke weights for sale somewhere but I can't remember where. If you default to using wire I would suggest pure lead wire (as used for fishing weight) rather than solder. Pure lead is quite a bit heavier than typical solder. Rusty_OToole
Last wheel weights I saw for wire wheels, were at a motorcycle dealership many years ago. I would think the specialists in vintage English car parts would have something, since so many of them featured wire wheels. If you want to avoid unsightly weights on the wheels, there are beads you add to the tires to balance automatically. Here is one brand, I found it with a quick search and know nothing about the company or products. But it will give you the idea. https://counteractbalancing.com/

Have you tried Moss Motors? https://mossmotors.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4O2xh9bzgAMVYgCtBh15SwpmEAAYASAAEgLDb_D_BwE Edited August 23, 2023 by keiser31 (see edit history)
