1928 lock washers

I am running into a large number of internal tooth lock washers while disassembling my 72 roadster. Are they correct or it is a PO going off script?

I found them on my car with machine screws holding metal clips to the frame rails.  The clips are for lines following the frame like brake lines.

I'll confess to using (invisible to judges) internal tooth lock washers to ensure better grounds where conventional (split) washers were not used by the factory, and on other no-factory-split-washer applications where I sought a more robust and long lasting tight connection.  Like you, the Next Guy to own my cars will be wondering WTH.....

Well since you get away with it at the Pierce Meets, I am goin to use them on my 836.

Split washers aren't used ec

Very where on Chryslers but were used ib some areas.. They used star washers just about everywhere. I have boxes of both.

In some places they used a round washer.

Internal tooth lock washers are correct for your car.
