Boattales
I own a 1934 Packard rumble seat coupe. Model 1101. My father, Gene Kappel of Glenwood, IlL, bought the car in 1968. It was dark green with a tan padded top. Prior to him Gerhard Heisler of Chicago, owned the car from 1959 to 1968. Documentation that I have with the car says that the prior owner of the car was Robert Myers of Oak Park, IL. I cannot find anything about him. I am trying to establish prior ownership history. The data plate on the car says that the car was originally delivered by the Earle C Anthony dealership in LA. Interestingly, throughout the known history of the car, it has had a padded top. Does anyone know any prior history of this car? Thanks.

John Bloom
Craig, very sharp Packard. It sounds like the car spent a lot of its life around Chicago. Are you in the Chicagoland area? I wonder if the Chicago chapter of CCCA/ Packard clubs might have some leads on the car’s history.
Ozstatman
You could try PAC's Roster Keeper for those Packards.
1935Packard
Yes, definitely try Jim Pearsall. When I bought my 1101 in 2019, it turns out he had seen the car and had pictures of it from 20 years earlier.
West Peterson
There was a Robert Meyer "Packard-guy" in California, too. I wonder if he moved from Illinois to California???
