Leif in Calif
The upholstery will definitely hold it back, but depending on ACTUAL mechanical condition this might be good if you could bargain a little. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/7547003229.html We are selling our 1948 Willy’s wagon with the Hurricane4-71 engine. Motor is rebuilt, and ready to run. All new brakes and master cylinder. New radiator, new exhaust, cool looking interior, still needs headliner. Comes with all new windows, and rubber seals. Needs new wheels and tires. Been sitting since 1997. Comes with extra parts, that the previous owner purchased. It’s close to running but I haven’t got it fired up yet. Maybe new points and condenser. It has the column shift 3 speed with cable overdrive. Very cool still needs work , switched over to 12 volt.Best offer, open to offers, feel free to text for more info. Thx for looking Happy days!!! It’s in our name and on non-op (831) 234-1323
JamesR
I like the (probably non-original) color. It looks nice on that vehicle. I see so many of these in the high price range that it seems - at a glance - to be a good deal on a Willys with a good exterior. But yes, it sounds like the seller might be having some mechanical problems. If so, I hope the new owner gets them sorted out and gets a nice looking, decent running wagon at a reasonable price. Fossil
Interesting post. I'm not sure if he would be better off with no upholstery or the upholstery that's in there.
TAKerry
Looks like a recent re paint. But there is a lot of work that needs to be done to this car. Floors look really rusty, glass etc. I dont think the upholstery is doing any harm with this one.
