Although a quick and dirty framer would have knocked it together already. We had one in the neighborhood that made a lot of mistakes. The ash wood is almost never intact at all while the poplar can be quite sound unless in a place that frequently got wet. Actually, I have found very little ash to begin with. I have a sawmill and I use white oak and cypress.
