These are great road cars, I had a 77 and a 79. The missing side trim and wheelwell moldings indicate a repaint and the need to check it out carefully for rust.

My uncle had one of these in brown. He beat it but it still ran pretty well with his abuse.

Good G-d, am I old!  I bought new a '77 CDV, a '78 CDV (yellow and bought back by GM as a lemon), and finally a '79 CDV.  After having the '79 for three years, I asked myself, who am I trying to impress?  Driving Chevy's ever since!  Except of course for the Model A Ford's and early V-8's.

You shouldn't drive a Cadillac to impress anyone, you drive it to enjoy it. I had a yellow '77 but I'm a green car guy, I'd love this one.
