All BB-1 Carters are not the same. They were made up to the 1950 and used on many applications. The internal parts vary. Be sure to verify the model number if you use on early 30 engine applications. The model plates usually attached to the carb are most likely missing.

Thanks.   I am VERY familiar with the different models of Carter BB-1.    I have about 300 of them and have been selling them for 30 years.

Actually, they were made through 1967.

Hey friend, Mr.Broadstreet. 

Do you know what the brass  tag punch outs meen,on these various BB updtafts?

There is some debate on this but I was told many years ago that each time the carb gets rebuilt, the tag gets punched.
