PFitz Posted June 7, 2022 Share Posted June 7, 2022 (edited) If it's not a show car, for better coil life and hotter spark, use longer coil to distributor wires and move the coil to a bracket under the dash to get it away from engine heat. Franklin did that starting with the Series 12 and continued to the end of production. Other automakers also realized the benefit of keeping the coil cooler and did similar. And a common coil bracket, such as used starting with Series 14, is easier to find at any Autoparts store or online.
