I'm helping a friend move along a number of vintage vehicles. Here is a nice, running 1954 Nash. Clear title in hand. Price has been reduced to move it along. It's clean, with some rust but not much, and it is Mostly surface. ALL original car. I sat in this one and photos don't do it justice. I liked it. Please contact the owner between 9AM-5PM for more details or to schedule a time to see it. It's located in downtown Greenville, TX. 50 miles east of Dallas just off I-30. Hudsy Wudsy
By placing the coil spring on top of the upper A-frame they used up a lot of under hood space on Nashes, Ramblers and other AMC vehicles. You sure can see why they weren't naturals for V8 engine swaps.
Hudsy Wudsy
It would be different if this quirky design characteristic meant that they were particularly great handling cars, but that is most emphatically not the case. 1
ericmac
I used to own one of these in similar condition. They don't "handle" well as previously noted but probably had the most comfortable seats of any car I've owned other than a Peugeot. If I wasn't looking at something else I'd be very tempted indeed.
Brooklyn Beer
Who was the carb manufacturer? This is a new one for me.
carbking
Those are Carter type YH carbs. Used on a few cars (Corvette, Nash, Corvair, Pontiac racing), lots of marine, an aftermarket supercharger, and a Chrysler motorhome. Jon. 1
Brooklyn Beer
Looking closer at the carbs I looked closer at the fuel filter. YIKES
Hudsy Wudsy
One of the drivers, Marshall Teague, maybe(?), who had great sucess racing Hudsons in Nascar in the early 50s was encouraged to try out the new version for '55. He drove one lap around the track, parked it and walked away shaking his head.
