Jubilee
No where in the above posts did I see mention of the health benefits of four jack stands. The crawling around and the getting up and down is great exercise. As an octogenarian with a weakened memory ( read: I crawled out and got up to get what?) this exercise is invaluable and I couldn’t force myself to get it any other way. Also, the verbal and physical venting caused by a stuck/twisted creeper wheel makes me a calmer and gentler person away from the garage.
41Fleetwood
The ceiling height is 12 feet, I had it built that way 10 years and 3 less cars ago , after the second lift I had a nice empty spot until this past August. Now I am out of room 😔

Thanks for the smile.

Well, having a lift does provide opportunities for cognitive exercise beyond that offered by jack stands. Hypothesizing the trajectory of that special-purpose spring clip that just popped out of your fingers 5 feet above the floor is much more challenging than when the car was only 18 inches off the floor... 2 1
