wayne sheldon
I really enjoy seeing these photos! When I was much younger, My mom's first car when she got her driver's license (when I was about twelve), was a 1950 business coupe very similar to this one! Even then, it was an odd car, with that rear deck where the rear seat wasn't. The almost carboard panel that folded forward so larger items could be carried in the trunk and back of the cabin. With no rear seat, we had wooden boxes sitting on that rear deck for us kids to sit and ride on (no seat belts in those days!). Oh, the memories. One day, a few years later, the engine blew up. The car was deemed not worth fixing for our needs, and was sold to someone with big plans for it. One sees so few like this. I don't think I have seen more than three or four of them since that one went away. It makes me wish I could afford it. But I can't.
Steve_Mack_CT
Yeah just finished explaining why 2 is enough cars for me then something like this comes along. Great ad and clearly a high quality car. Good luck with your sale.
Round Headlights
Wayne, cool story. When my son was living at home he used to ride in the back on a pillow....not exactly a family car but lots of fun still. Steve, I just bought a '30 Standard Roadster, which is why I'm selling the Chevy....too many cars.
