XframeFX
I suspect my >45 year old locking gas cap is leaking upon acceleration. Observers in car meet parking lots say no. But I have yet to fill the tank full and accelerate harder than in parking lots with people about. Not sure how effective the baffles in the tank are when my foot has those secondaries opening wide on the open road. My research thus far shows a VENTED CAP for our application. I am well aware of the vented tank because I removed it for repair and I plug the vent for winter storage. A silly concern but, a NON-VENTED CAP or, what is the correct item? Thank-You. Turbinator
I have a 63 and my tank vent hose was not reinstalled right. I had leaks from the vent hose.!Once tank vent was put back as original.no more leaking. I would imagine NAPA would have the correct cap. ihave original gas cap with the key in the box. PM if interested. Turbinator Edited September 20, 2021 by Turbinator (see edit history)
Jolly_John
The original cap for your '63 Riv. is a non-vented unit. John 1
