telriv Posted September 7, 2021 Share Posted September 7, 2021 As Ed stated above, DO NOT USE GEAR OIL, use ATF type 111 (3) also known as Mercon111 (3). I’ve read that if you disconnect the correct transmission line from the radiator, you can run the engine and empty the converter. Wife’s tail or shade tree mechanics, I don’t know. Thanks philippe If the car has been sitting (inactive) it may need a radiator flush, and again check the coolant flow in the radiator. 'not efficient' = inoperative?
