Sunnyjay
Hello! I need to have the foot brake bands relined on my 1922 Cadillac. I can't find anything in the shop manual about how thick a lining it should have. Do you usually specify that when you send your bands in to be relined? Thanks! Dennis That's very helpful! Thank you so much. What data book are you referencing? Sounds like it has some useful information and I should try to get a copy! dl456
The title is "Auto Data Book". A great reference but somewhat hard to find.
Michael J. Barnes
Could you tell us a little more about the Auto Data Book: author, publisher, date of publication? It looks like some folks would like to try to find a copy. Me for example. Thanks.
JFranklin
Chiltons published a book such as that. It gave specifications and cross references for a lot of parts. Look around, they pop up once in a while.
hidden_hunter
I believe it's at the back of the shop manual - due to lockdowns I can't get to my copy and the v63 book that is digitised has the page that it would be on missing

Hello Mike, Sorry for the late reply. I'm afraid I don't have the publisher, etc. because the front of my book and the cover is missing. I have only seen a couple of others. It has serial number info. and some mechanical data. It is handbook size. I did check my Dykes manual and it has almost the same info. in the spec. section. The Dykes should prove much easier to find. They are always on E-bay and such. Dennis
