Better chance of some one involved with that vintage of Dodges knowing. Besides my 1925 T, I have a 1920 Dodge touring. If you decide to do what work you can yourself, get a copy of the 1927 Dodge Mechanics" Instruction Manual to help you.

I suggest you contact a ,

Mr.Gene French in Colorado who manufactures and sells affordable

Babbitt bearing molds and a main bearing  line bore set up for the serious Ford Model T and Model A Ford "do it your" self hobbiest and is well known those circles.

Why Mr.French? 

Besides being a fine machinist and one hell of a good guy , he also is a DODGE BROTHERS enthusiast, as I recall, which often is what many Ford T men progress to.

 

He may have information on western side of the country vintage engine rebuilders.

Here is his info as of a few years back ,but you can pick up more info with just a little effort if you need to.
