GhostDog
Anyone know of a shop in California that rebuilds motor and transmission for a 1925 dodge brothers touring?
Mark Gregush
Might want to post your question on the Dodge Brothers forum page or on one of the Facebook pages; Dodge & Dodge Brothers - Antique Automobile Club of America - Discussion Forums (1) Dodge Brothers Motor Cars Dodge Brothers Club, Inc. Better chance of some one involved with that vintage of Dodges knowing. Besides my 1925 T, I have a 1920 Dodge touring. If you decide to do what work you can yourself, get a copy of the 1927 Dodge Mechanics" Instruction Manual to help you.
Flivverking
Ghost, I suggest you contact a , Mr.Gene French in Colorado who manufactures and sells affordable Babbitt bearing molds and a main bearing line bore set up for the serious Ford Model T and Model A Ford "do it your" self hobbiest and is well known those circles. Why Mr.French? Besides being a fine machinist and one hell of a good guy , he also is a DODGE BROTHERS enthusiast, as I recall, which often is what many Ford T men progress to. He may have information on western side of the country vintage engine rebuilders. Here is his info as of a few years back ,but you can pick up more info with just a little effort if you need to. GhostDog
Thanks Flivverking, I called Gene and although he does not rebuild engine or trans I was able to pick his brain on a few questions about the motor. I also left a message to Eric in Sacramento, so hopefully he can give me a call back. Thanks Mark.
