thunderbird 1971 4 door suicide - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org)

I have a 1971 thunderbird for sale. it is a four door {suicide doors}. the engine is a 429 cu in and runs very well. the car has been sitting in a garage for 15 years. the previous owner brought it up from Alabama and drove it here for 10 years then garaged it and passed away. the good news is he drained the fuel and the coolant and removed the battery. i replaced the battery, fuel, fuel filter and pump. the tires are all matching radials including the new spare. the car is missing nothing. it needs t.l.c. only as far as i can see. the only rust is at the bottom panel on one side that can be seen in the pictures. i have the title and the car is ready to go. ****no shipping b.s. ***** cash only ***** call if interested.  odometer: 98000

I like this style of Thunderbird, including the

less often seen 4-door versions such as this.

I tend to like the uncommon vehicles, undoubtedly.

This example looks good.  If it was in an

unusual color, my interest could truly be piqued.

We will have to disagree. I could never stand the 4 door T Birds.  But the 2 door fastback with bucket seats is nice.

Ah, the days when buyers actually had choices!

Someone liking 2 doors, someone needing 4 doors,

someone relishing convertibles, had several body

styles from which to choose.  And 15 or 20 paints,

and 4 to 10 different interiors, and various colors of roofs.

Think of all the combinations.  Nearly all tastes

were accommodated.

Car manufacturers today have a lot to learn.
