John_S_in_Penna
"Very rare car," the seller claims! I have one of this very model. They are good cars, but they are not very rare; they are not rare; they are not scarce. This shows how overused the term "rare" is today. Maybe, since many cars are undistinguished today, people are yearning to have some individuality-- something "rare" that no one else has. Somebody correct me but whenever I see the word "rare" used in a car for sale ad I discount the seller's knowledge. It just doesn't add any value to advertisement. Something more like 1 of 185 built in 1956 might be more powerful. But typically, the car is not 1 of 185, or 1 of 300, it is usually 1 of 28,500 made in black.
JamesR
I like this car. Just needs a little cleaning and some minor issues addressed (if the ad is correct.) Thanks for posting. My dislike for "rarity" comes out when people say things like, "Only 300 were made with this engine, power steering, a vinyl top and radio delete!" Who cares.
John_S_in_Penna
I think the cloth in the interior is incorrect. My Fleetwood has the black cloth with white leather bolsters, and the cloth is entirely different. The subject car's black cloth looks like it came from the 1980's. kingrudy
Uh oh! Seller didn't do his homework before he listed this car. More than one offer, should have stated "or best offer"
