1956 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight has the premier powerplant a 324-cu.in. Rocket V-8 with a four-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. Power steering, with column-shifted Jetaway Hydra-Matic Drive automatic transmission and power brakes. Runs and drives but needs some work. Interior unfortunately hasn’t held up great over the years. Very typical high plains car: sunburned paint, dried-up interior trim, usual dents and nicks, rarely low mileage but generally solid low-rust sheet metal and good chrome, especially the pot-metal.

I love the old bass mouth 56 98s.  Owned a 2 door hardtop 30 years ago. All 56 Olds 98 cars are rare.  I would take this car as a restoration project but it would have to be a labor of love. Costs to restore a 1956 2 door hardtop, 4 door hardtop, or convertible are the same. About $80,000.
