If the body frame and interior is good shape, it is worth whatever you need to do to the drive train to make it run in my opinion. Save it. Go forth and make it so. Dandy Dave. If you are planning on keeping the car for yourself- that is the cheapest thing to do in the long run. If you are flipping it - let the new owner deal with it.
