'73 Stainless?

On a '73, is the rear window lower molding solid stainless?

I have to ask because I see a on-line partial image of one that seems to be pitted as chrome does.

Nope, not stainless.

 

Pretty certain it is chromed pot-metal. I have seen them where the chrome has faded, and pitted pretty good too.

So, I’d guess the adjacent door piece is “pot-luck” also.....

Speculating here but engineering probably chose pot metal due to the radical contour and limitations forming stainless. 
The door piece is stainless!

I agree that the "bent" piece in question is

chrome-plated pot metal.  I had to have mine

replated because they were faded.

 

I agree, too, that the other pieces are stainless steel.
