Frame off restoration in 2003, has been parked since 2013.. Runs and drives good, engine does smoke some. 361 cu in. Edsel engine with 3 on the tree, Has side skirts not on the car now, the lakers are functional not fake ones. $8500 or Best Offer. Calls only Contact: (315) Eight-93-Seven-1-3-eight Copy and paste in your email: 8f6955981d9035dab2b7e6f3a935e5d7@sale.craigslist.org I have no personal interest or stake in the eventual sale of this 1959 Edsel Ranger. Note: It should lose those lake pipes, stick shift makes this a good daily driver. Seller list a 361 ci, though those aren't listed as an option for 1959, only the 223 six or the standard equipment 292 V8. The Corsair came with a 332 ci V8. Interested buyers should check numbers to determine which FE engine it has. Edit: See M-MMAN comments below, the 361 ci V8 was optionally available in the '59 Edsel. m-mman
The base Ranger was available with the 223 six, 292 V-8 or the 361 (Edsel exclusive engine) The upscale Corsair skipped the 6 and the 292. Base motor was the 332 and the 361. The gas hogs that FE motors are, and the oiling issues on the Y-block, means that the 223 is the best driving car. Sadly however after decades of V-8 promotion, Ford people refuse to accept how good a motor the Ford six really is. Overdrive was never officially available in 59 Edsels, but there a few that were factory built with it.

Installing an overdrive set-up and correct differential ratio from the same year Ford would be an option for this car.
