Alan_NY
Can anyone identify the brand of car in the first pic? It’s also the 3rd car in the second pic. It’s my great grandfather’s car and the license plate is 1914. My father always thought it was a Buick, but I don’t think so. There’s a badge above the grill that looks like something beginning with a “P”, but I’m sure it’s not a Pontiac or Packard?
keiser31
1914 or so Buick. Edited April 29, 2020 by keiser31 (see edit history)

Alan_NY
Oh cool, thank you! The 4th car in the second pic has the steering wheel on the left - is it English??
keiser31
No. It is American. It was common in the earlier days to have right hand drive.

For most makes the change from left to right hand drive occurred somewhere around 1912. Ford of course went left hand drive with the introduction of the T in 1908. The 'fourth' car in the photo has gas lights so is probably from 1911-12. Perhaps with a closeup that car might be able to be identified.

nzcarnerd
I think the Buick is a 1914 Model 37.
