nzcarnerd
This photo was also posted on facebook. No doubt it has done the rounds over the years. There was debate about the tribe of the headdress - Cherokee - Lakota? The photo is dated 1915 but the car looks to be circa 1907-09. There were some muddy roads on the way to the location. It looks familiar but I can't 'put my finger on it' - as the saying goes. Distinctive radiator matrix.

dustycrusty
The beadwork on the leggings is a Lakota Sioux pattern. Here is a picture of Lakota Chief Sands Rock who performed in Buffolo Bill's Wild West Shows with a similar design
Craig Gillingham
This one looks like it is a 50HP Pope-Toledo from 1907. Edited April 26, 2020 by Craig Gillingham (see edit history)
