Riley engine

I keep thinking about getting the 1950 Riley for $3000.I really like the body style,not too wild about the vinyl top though.I know it's missing the engine. Dose anyone know where I can get one or what engine would install without too much trouble.I'm not sure about the body swap on a Ford Aerostar. Thanks,Greg.

You should keep your eyes open,  those Riley’s come on the market with some frequency and they don’t bring much money in the scheme of things.

As you have already noticed Riley mechanical parts tend to out-live the coach-work.  Perhaps not in the USA but if you search some of the UK magazines or better still make a direct contact with some of the English Clubs you should be able to find all the parts you need. Now that you have bought one,  your next step should be to join one of the English, Riley Owners clubs. That way they see that you are genuinely interested and are more like to respond.

It appears the seller was telling the truth when he said the engine was missing.
