Does anyone know if/where I can purchase chrome inserts for dashboard/glove box?

Early 1963 Rivieras had a plain painted dash.  After that, the 63 and 64 had a ribbed aluminum veneer that covered the dash.  Do you have a picture of inserts you're looking for?

I was wondering if I can put this option in my 65 to replace the black plastic?

The wood wheel was a factory option through the 1966 model year.

What he means is he wants the ribbed aluminum dash pieces from a 64 to install in his 65 dashboard. I would assume

these parts would fit your car, but you would need to find them from a parts car as they are not reproduced.

Sorry about that!  They are very difficult to remove without damage.  They were glued at the factory and I suppose with a heat gun and a lot of patience, you could possibly do it.  It is almost impossible to lift them without bending them and once they are bent, they will never lay flat again.  As stated by Winston, they are not being reproduced and I have never seen any NOS ever come up for sale.

Your best bet would be to replace the entire 65 dash assembly with a 64 assembly, if that's the look you're after.  Otherwise, as Pat says, there's little chance of peeling off that veneer without it getting all bent out of shape.  You can't use a dash from a '63, there's no provision for headlight and wiper switches on a '63 dash.  Look in the latest issue of the Riview and find the ads for cars being parted out and see what's available.
