 Tom, it is very obvious that it is '48 or later.  I believe not a '50. What I see of the water pump looks like '49 or older.  Could be wrong.

  Folks really should KNOW what they have.

Ben, thanks for the correction, water pump inlet not on side of block. Owner just states removed from `36 Buick, I noticed the side-mounts right off, and the intake is also not `36, but has a front mount similar to `36.

Yeah, was not aiming at you, Tom. Just adding to was the intent. 

 

 I did not realise the '36 front plate would mate to the '37 and later.

Ben, you know I`m putting a `41 248 in my `36 coupe so I`ve learned in the process that I had to use a `36 front mount the `36 flywheel/p-plate/clutch and bell-housing. Also had to drill 2 new holes to match the block(for the top two bolts behind the flywheel).      As to Bob Stanley`s question I doubt anything would fit. In his other post he should check into the Pete Phillips offer.
